Hi folks, thanks for tuning in again. Health situation remains as it was, kind of. The back is playing up more and may be as a result of our increasingly active and physical work situation. The impact is less ability to do the more physical items, so having to rest more in between each task. The connected issues of the rusty finger joints is also more notable, as I use my hands more, for more physical tasks. I have been able to get out for 2 short walks this week, which I feel is helping with the leg muscles and stamina build up. I am wayyyy of where I want to be, but have to restart somewhere.

On the non-health front, I was able to complete the corrections to the maps for the book that is nearing completion, alongside the corrections to two of the chapters. Limited, but significant, research was undertaken on the first photo in one of the recent albums I acquired.

My sister, Susan, who many of will know, or seen from previous images, arrived for a visit on Thursday and will be with us for a week. Great to see her again and our last face to face catch up was in York. The start of the trip, begun with most of the family (Dan was absent, as he looked after the grandkids) going to watch the stage show ‘Six’, which is a unique telling of the lives of the six wives of Henry the VIII. Very enjoyable, but also with some really powerful points being made, I would recommend it, for those of you interested in history, of those of you seeking a good night out.

The show was more than that, for me. I had the pleasure of both Alanna and Karl sitting either side of me (quality time with both of my kids is not as simple as it many sound), Rachel and the girls alongside, as was my sister and Sandra. The attendance at the show itself was the idea of Alanna and it was a special night for her, to be able to watch it again, with me there (Sandra and her have seen it before, but none of the rest of us had).

We did not do too much on Saturday, but managed a short trip to our seafront, where we met up with Karl, Rachel and both of the girls; we enjoyed some ice cream, despite it being chilly and early March. Sunday was mother’s day, with Karl and Rachel popping along for a while, before they returned to theirs for Rachel to enjoy time with her mum and her own mother’s day with the girls. Alanna and Dan, with the grandkids, were with us for the afternoon. An enjoyable day, if tiring day; I am finding things a bit more challenging this week overall.

Another week of building memories with those closest to me, alongside managing the varying impacts from the disease.

Thanks for the interactions and ongoing support.

Best regards, Peter
