Welcome to the week before Christmas and I hope you are all set for this festive season. Thanks to Sandra and her superb focus, we certainly are.
I will get the health aspects covered off first, as that is the main point of the Blog. My week started with physion on Monday afternoon, which was straight forward enough and no needles this time. Walks got underway and 3 more done this week. Timings were 13:17, 13:19 and 13:12; nice to have them all under 13:30 and moving closer to 13:00. Apart from the usual variable back niggles, no other notable health aspects to report on for the past week.
The majority of the rest of the week was spent on the outstanding maps. I have completed 6 more, with 2 of those taking 2-days each. They were the last of the ‘busy’ maps, thankfully; they were intense! I have 2 maps left to complete and that should allow me to get these wrapped up before Christmas, which was the objective I set myself at the start of December. This book moves a few steps closer to completion.
I had the usual work time with Alanna this week, although that was done remote, due to practicalities for both of us. Karl was also with me on Thursday and part of that was him helping me with some map issues - he created the maps for the first few volumes of the books and also showed me the steps needed to create them myself.
On Saturday we had an invite to join the Grandkids at the cinema, where we all watched The Muppets: Christmas Carol. That was one of our movies of choice for the festive season, when ours kids were growing up and nice to see it get to the next generation. A nice way to spend our usual few hours with them and something different for us. The photo used this week is from that cinema visit and is an ‘action shot’, which caught us in motion; apologies for the lower quality image.
Before wrapping this one up, I will take the opportunity to wish every one of you a great and enjoyable Christmas celebration - hopefully to be spent with those that mean the most to you. Thank you for the time you have given to reading this, adding comments publicly and privately, but more importantly, for your interactions that have helped me navigate the mentally challenging year of 2025. One final update to follow before we wrap this year up; Merry Christmas to you all.
Regards, Peter
