Welcome to the latest update and will cover off any health related aspects first, as that is the main purpose of the Blog.

Whilst awaiting on the call with Dr. Rahman, I got the first of my 3 walks in during the early afternoon, with a time of 13:30; that was followed by 2 more during the week with 12:59 (the first sub-13:00 minute walk in weeks) then finally 13:13. Happy with those. The call with Dr. Rahman went well and he started by asking if I had a UTI. I informed him of my missed / late hormone injection and his instant reaction was, “Ah, that could be it”. As we carried on with the short call, he confirmed that the PSA is the only marker that has risen, so he was looking for an ‘outlyer’, with the late injection looking as though it may fit the bill. To be cautious, he is requesting an interim blood test in the middle of January, to check what the level is then. Whilst not conclusive, the fact that he confirmed that the other markers they check, are okay, may mean that it is something odd and temporary, but we’ll see what January brings. As a back up, I will also leave a sample with the GP this coming week and get any potential UTIs checked out.

I will say that Monday was actually a calm day, in my mind. I cannot explain why, but that is how I felt all day, whilst waiting on the call. I got on with various things and just waited on what he had to say. That has certainly not been the case for the past few weeks, as you may have read previously. His news was as good as we could hope for and we consider it a short-term win, which we are happy with. Later that same evening, I had my next session of physion, as did Sandra. She is still very much ‘in the ringer’ with her post-op muscle adjustment; mine was more straight forward.

On Tuesday I went and spent some time with Colin, which was nice. We went through various bits and part of that was me acquiring a nice one-off dual signed image showing Fritz Witt and Felix Steiner from 1939 / 1940 - pre-Western campaign.

I began the process of creating the finalised maps and focused on the amendments to the previous maps, with 11 of those done now. I also scanned in the 12 new sketched maps and began the steps to transform them. This will take me probably most of December, but a good stage to get to; the proof reading has begun too.

After many searches and test drives, I finally went ahead and acquired a new vehicle. It is a VW wheelchair adapted vehicle - the one that Karl and I, then Sandra and I test drove over the past weeks. There are a couple of small niggles with it, but the seller is taking it back on Monday to sort those, then will return it. Why a wheelchair adapted vehicle? I have had 2 of them previously and they versatile for the bike, scooter events and moving the books. It may also come in necessary later on, but for now, plan to use for the various aspects above, get out and about more and enjoy as much time as we can, whilst we can.

At the weekend, the grandkids usually come to us, but this week, they invited us over to theirs to help them decorate their main tree. It was nice to do that with them, despite Sandra and I not feeling the best. We did not stay as long as we had planned, but we got the main task done and enjoyed it.

We rounded the weekend off with a tidy up and getting our tree down, ready for the decorating during the week.

In summary, a lighter week, with some great news for the time being, with forward progress on various aspects.

Thank you for your constant reading and input.

Regards
Peter
