Health aspects first and the main focus was the residual cold / flu, week 2. The body pain has all gone, but now left with the ‘chesty’ impact, which is much more manageable than last week’s impact. I managed the return of the 3 walks this week, but they were notably slower, as my body is not cold / flu free yet. The times were 13:12, 13:13, then 13:02 - managed to shave 10 seconds off by Sunday morning, but keen to get it back under 13:00 again. Each of them felt slow and the Sunday one felt ‘challenging’. I am keen to push on though and will continue to do so. These walks are good to get the heart pumping, plus great for the mind.

Tuesday night was spent with Howard and Matt, our first meet since the early summer, as we all have had a busy past few months. It was a very enjoyable catch up and great to get up to date with them on all of our eventful summer stints. I forgot to get a photo of the 3 of us - must remember next time!

This week’s photo shows Karl with his scoot, as we managed a little more time on that. Headset is tightened up and on, with the cables fed through end to end, plus a few other smaller tasks. Chipping away and next step is to get the cables connected up at both ends, plus the electrics. Nice to be back in this routine and see things moving ahead. It was also Karl’s birthday on Sunday and we spent time with him, Rachel and the family, where we enjoyed a meal and a catch up. It is nice to be able to help him celebrate his birthday face to face.

The other main emphasis for me this week, alongside fulfilling a couple of trade book orders, was to complete the main first build of Volume 7 and pleased to say that was done by Saturday evening; great to see each of the chapters looking as they should and all key information in place, alongside filling in any outstanding aspects on each of the award holders. I am now in the midst of populating the various appendices, which is one of those laborious, but essential elements of this series. I am hoping to complete that this coming week, then get the book off to proof reading.

A nice bit of variety this week, getting over the cold, plus helping my son celebrate his birthday.

Your continued input is welcomed and helpful.

Regards

Peter
