I will start with any health related aspects first and the week began with my latest physio session and all went well. He done one of those ‘nice’ spine cracks, followed by some acupuncture. The same afternoon, I done the first of my weekly walks, with a 12:53 time; it turned out to be the only one for the week, with no exercise routines either. That was due to the cold / flu that has been hovering for weeks, finally making its appearance. That brought various bouts of tiredness, blocked sinuses and muscle aches, etc.; no doubt like many of the rest of you at this time of year. The arrival of that also put paid to some plans I had for the during the week, but also the weekend, but nothing vital and things that have already been rescheduled.

I did manage to do my usual consultancy work this week and also had the first day of Karl being back in Kent, where we spent time together. A little bit of scooter work, then some DIY help, followed by some window shopping; a nice return of that routine.

Any other time was spent on Volume 7 and other book related tasks, as that type of thing can mostly be done when not feeling so great. Progress on Volume 7 is very much on course, but some additional tasks have cropped up, which may impact the final end date; we’ll see. I also helped Hazel with her manuscript for her memoirs, with her having some technical issues. Hazel is someone who has been a close friend for nearly 30 years and has been incredibly helpful with veteran introductions and also countless translation help, when being with veterans. I also received the final small batch of the ‘117 - Stabswache Berlin’ project related files, which have provided key additional insights. That one is my next planned book and a project that is the final one from the ‘4 essentials’ that Sandra and I agreed to focus on during my remaining time; let’s see what unfolds after V7 is done and at the printers (if time permits, I have a list of others books to carry on with!). .

Another relatively uneventful week, dominated by the cold / flu, but still one that allowed progress in other areas. When dealing with unplanned situations, adapt and overcome, where possible; down (for part of the week), but certainly not out.

Hope you all have a good week.

Best regards

Peter
