My current health situation got underway with physio on Monday, which was okay. I felt pretty good, but he noticed tightness in some of muscles, so inserted some acupuncture needles. Besides that, everything is improved overall. The discomfort is less, but more precise; I am of the increasing opinion that it maybe a hernia, but have not had the opportunity to book a GP appointment, as Sandra’s routine is still not settled. The tiredness has settled down, which has allowed me to do more. I managed two hill walks at 13:20 (knew that one would be slower) and 13:01. I was planning one on Sunday, but Sandra and I went for a good walk along the promenade at Hythe (a few miles from us), which was good for Sandra, but gave me a long walk too.

Sandra’s recovery is forging ahead with her being in work Monday, Wednesday and Friday, doing 5-hours stints each time. She is doing more and more activities and an increasing degree of normality is evident. She has her 6-week consultant appointment this coming week, which may open up other key ‘normal’ aspects.

That allowed me to cover off some more normal tasks on my list, which included a whole day of admin and financial work, alongside some consultancy work. Those changes may seem small, but they are psychologically more important than they seem, for both of us.

The car situation has evolved with the dealership offering me a buy-back price for the car (matches a trade in price I was given) and I plan to give the go-ahead this coming week. Renault UK also replied to my complaint and both of them basically stated that the noise was ‘normal’ and there would be no further action on either of their parts (besides the buy-back). That is despite the evidence I have provided, which clearly shows the complete opposite; fair to state that the build quality from Renault does not match my expectations and I shall be choosing to spend my money with a different manufacturer from this point onwards.

Volume 7 motors onwards also, with formation histories now complete for, 5 Corps, 31 Divisions, 3 Brigades and 2 Battalions. That leaves 11 Corps, 5 Divisions, 8 Regiments and 8 Battalions to complete, with a target of the end of September for that phase. We now have less than 4 weeks until the Battles Through History show, where I will be conducting a talk / presentation on the Fritz Witt story, backed up Fritz Witt personal artefacts on show - look forward to seeing some of you there.

The past week is one of those fairly normal / not so interesting weeks, for you the reader. However, it is another one of those which evidences that life within the AD world does not come to a halt, or dominate my life plans, every single week. I hope that gives some of you other sufferers solace and hope, if you are currently in the midst of more challenging phases of your own health situations.

Thank you for the interest that you continue to show.

Regards

Peter
