My health updates first and the week began with my next round of physio. The lower left was very tight and something he found straight away. No needles this time, but he worked it a lot and I certainly felt it, and for a few days afterwards; thankfully, that pain did ease off later in the week. I managed a total of three walks, with timings of 12:54, 13:08, 13:09. Regarding the third one, I did not feel great by the time I got to the bottom of the hill - low blood sugar, maybe? Hands and feet movements felt ‘delayed’ slightly when walking and I was a little concerned that I may not make it back the last 50 yards, without fainting. I got some food and drink in me and things settled down; let’s hope it is a one-off.

My main focus remains Sandra and her recovery and this week has seen her mobility improve a lot, with her now down to one crutch. That allows he to do some things for herself, which is good for her, and eases the workload for me. She has increased her walks and that is really helping, with us even managing a couple of hours out shopping. I have found the past numbers of week hard, for various reasons and Sandra could see the impact, so she ‘took one for the team’, in joining me out and about. She was very tired after that and Sunday left her tired most of the day - bit by bit and still finding her way. She also went into work to say hello to everyone and discuss a phased return to the office. That is planned for this coming week and we’ll let you know how it goes.

Alongside that, book order fulfilment kept me busy, with multiple batches going out this week. The first books have begun to arrive and so far, the new book is being very well received. Whilst I do still find it an odd concept, those of you who have got theirs so far, are really liking the insight it is providing. For me, that is great and all that matters; looking forward to catching up with some of you next weekend, at the Military Odyssey show - usual place in the main hall.

I spent some time on Volume 7 and managed to complete the overviews of some more individual formations. On Sunday, I got outside and fired up my scooter, alongside cutting the grass. After that, I got a little bit of time working on Karl’s scooter. For the first time, I married the front fork / muguard / wheel, to the main frame. It is starting to look like a scooter again, but there is a lot of work still to be done; we’ll see what spare time and the overall situation permits.

In summary, progress with Sandra, my situation settled, lots of books posted, some much needed retail therapy and a little bit of scooter building, which made for a varied week.

Thanks for all of your interactions, they make a difference.

Regards

Peter
