Health updates start us off and this week was a fairly uneventful one, in that regard. A bit of recovery from our long drive the previous week, but nothing too bad. I also did my first walk for 10 days, on Wednesday, with a 13:04 time. I followed that with another on Sunday morning, with a time of 12:47. Overall, no issues this week, apart from some back pain and some over-exertion on Friday, when doing some tasks in the garden.
My main focus was on the amendments from the veteran’s book proof-reading, which was completed at the end of the previous week. Following that, final adjustments to the visual layout and ensuring the flow of the book matches the vision I have for it.
On Friday, I cut the grass, then returned to the problem of Karl’s vespa main engine bolt. I managed to solve that and started on the next tasks connected to that (reattaching the carb, fuel line from the tank, etc.). However, the temperature rose steadily in the mid-afternoon and I had to admit defeat. A bit of over-exertion, but not like the recent episode.
This week’s photo is from our recent Cornwall trip and Charlestown specifically. That location was used in ‘The Eagle Has Landed’ movie, which is one of my favourites. The scenes were when Donald Sunderland’s character meets Steiner’s men for the first time and they end up throwing him out of the window, as they think he is Gestapo. I tried to recreate that scene a little, much to the amusement of Karl and Sandra, who thought I was going mad!
In summary, a week of returning to normality and getting the walks underway again.
Regards and thanks for the interest.
