Health updates to start the week, as per the consistent format. The energy levels were slightly lower this week, but I made the decision at the start of the week, to conserve my energy, as we had a trip planned for the second half of the week. Therefore, no walks for this one, just the usual alternate days exercise regime started after the chemo stopped.
I did have my interim blood test on Monday and despite how I am felling, the PSA remained unchanged at 0.4. That was great to hear and I will take any good news on that front. They plan another one in 2 weeks time, just ahead of my next scheduled call with the consultant in mid-July.
Starting on Wednesday, we undertook the long drive (6+ hours, which done neither Sandra nor I any favours) from Kent to Cornwall, as we made our first joint visit to Karl in Newquay (I helped him move back at the end of April). That trip gave Sandra a chance to see where he is now and also all of the places he mentions when we are on our daily calls. It was great to see him and he managed some holiday from work, which gave us a couple of full days together. We made some trips, but did not want to tire everyone out. It was very nice for all of us to see each other, spend some time together catching up and just see his new world. We returned home on Sunday and a return trip later in the year has already been pencilled in, health situations permitting.
On the way down, we had the chance to meet up with Bob, my friend from Northern Ireland, who also moved to England decades ago. He was on his way north and our paths literally crossed, which was great. Just over 1 hour of catching up was managed, before we both got on our way to our final destinations.
There was limited book work done, but I did managed to complete the overview of another divisional size formation. Also, 2 of my books have been published in another language (French), with more to follow; a very exciting point to reach and helps widen the reach into new markets. Whilst I was away, the quotes for the various reprints were received and I will pick that aspect up when I get back to Kent and this coming week.
In summary, almost a singular focus this week, which was time with our son.
Regards and thanks for the interest.
