Health update first and things were better in the past week, mainly concerning the digestion and tiredness. However, the discomfort in the groin area remains and increased towards the end of the week. I made a conscious decision to forge ahead and undertook my first bike ride in a few weeks. It was a very windy day, but I did enjoy it and nice to do one again. The following day, I done a short walk, then on Friday I done a long walk (13:08) and again on Sunday (13:02). Bad weather inbetween, removed the chance for a second bike ride. Sandra and I had our scheduled physio on Monday afternoon, with a painful session of acupuncture for me!
I also had my phone call with the cancer unit nurse, on Thursday and talked them through all aspects that are of current concern. By the time of the call, some aspects had settled down, so it felt like I was discussing ‘nothing’. The nurse was very patient and did provide some kind of reassurance. He stated that it is rare for prostate cancer to ‘migrate’ to the stomach. He also stated that something in that area would have shown up in the various scans. Regarding the rising PSA, he did say it can fluctuate, but it is about looking at the trend. The next blood test in a few weeks, will be the next step. A helpful phone call, for the time being.
Around that, focused on completing the main outstanding aspects of the text and layout for the veteran’s book and pleased to say that it has been moved to my proof reader to begin that task (my daughter - who has done that for every single title published to date). I have begun to construct the cover, as I await the proof read copy coming back.
A shorter update this week, and thanks in advance for the time you give to these updates.
Regards
Peter
