Following on from the busy previous week in Holland and France, plus the issues highlighted in the last update, I decided to ease back into things this past week. I had my scheduled physio on Monday afternoon and he commented on the tight muscles once again - to be expected, following the time spent travelling and associated impacts. I undertook a short walk only on Tuesday, but then a long walk on Thursday, with a time of 13:09, then a further long walk on Sunday with a superb 12:46 timing. I did put the pace on for Sunday’s walk and the results showed. The one thing I did not do this week was any cycling. I had intended to, around the walks, but on both days I planned to cycle, we had bad weather and heavy rain.

The sensation from the previous week, remains, but less impactful. The tiredness was not there, which was helpful. My next blood test is Monday (as many of you may be reading this), so will see what that shows up.

On Tuesday evening, Sandra and I met up with the girls, with Erin, Kim and Emma able to make this one. A good evening catching up on everyone’s news and there was plenty to go through. The food was nice, with even better desserts - all ably assisted by a very helpful waitress.

It was Sandra’s turn to be away this week, from Thursday to Sunday, when she travelled to London to meet her sisters for a birthday weekend. They had an activity packed three days and all enjoyed themselves, which is great. We do not often spend time apart, but the past couple of weeks have seen us do just that. Her operation has also been pushed back to late-July, which is not ideal, but out of her control.

Thursday was my consultancy day this week and we covered off some key aspects, in a productive day. The rest of my time when Sandra was away, was spent on writing for both current projects.

Overall, a better week for the health aspects, with some good progress on projects, alongside a good evening out.

Thank you for the continued following of these weekly updates, welcomed.

Regards, Peter
