Health updates first, as per the usual format. This week has mostly been okay, until the end of the week. On Friday, I developed an increased level of muscular back pain, but cannot narrow down why, accurately. Since then, It has been notable and debilitating since then, with an impact on just about every aspect of what I had planned. One potential cause, suggested by Sandra, is due to me having to drive her car for the day, on Friday. It is set up very differently to mine and could be what caused it; it is certainly the only thing ‘abnormal’ that took place/ I will see how I feel on Monday morning and possibly look to bring my next physio session forwards. Besides that, I did manage some more walks during the walk, just normal ones and I had a long planned for Sunday, alongside a possible bike ride. However, both of those were shelved, due to the back pain and also the strong winds that have been with us all week.

Sandra had another follow up appointment during the week, with some key decisions to follow for her. The consultancy focus continued and included attendance at an event where one of their new products was showcased to the public. A successful day with sales obtained, lots of discussions from interested people and a high degree of potential follow up sales to come, from an engaged public.

If I were to sum up this week, it was one filled with various ‘distractions’ and unplanned ‘annoyances’, all of which took up time and increased the stress levels. One of those was dealing with the car MOT. This was its first and late last Sunday night, I went to MOT the car, only to find that it was long overdue! Within the UK, obtaining an MOT appointment at short notice, is impossible and the first obtainable one was for 10 days later. I therefore could not use my car, as it could not be taxed, nor had a valid MOT certificate. Thankfully, with Karl’s help, we got a cancellation at his garage for Friday and everything was sorted before midday (hence why I had to use Sandra’s car). The car itself was returned the previous week, after their next attempt to rectify my ongoing gearbox noise issue; they had it for a week. I have not had a chance to drive it much since, but it looks like the problem is all but gone, but time will tell.

The week gone has been a better one for the writing aspects, with 10 more biographies completed, plus more chapter drafts laid down within the publishing program, for the ‘veterans’ book.

Sandra and I also managed a hour or so out at a local cafe, coupled with some farm food shopping there. We had planned to do more afterwards, but made the decision to go home, due to the back pain, and do other things around the house. Despite the annoyances, the focus remained on working through what I could and overall, progress was made on various aspects. Not the best of weeks, but cannot expect them all to be as productive as aimed for.

Regards

Peter
