The week started a bit more manageable than the full on previous week. Regarding the health front, Monday afternoon is when I had my next physio, which was needed, after the show and book delivery, then book sorting. Thumb work, acupuncture and massaging device were all called for, with the needles being left in for longer than normal; he can always feel what is needed, as soon as he begins his physical assessment. Around that session, I undertook home chores, then the first walk of the week - all with a view to moving around more and keeping active. Besides the back issues, which are notable at the moment - show follow up and also book order fulfillment (moving lots of books from one place to another), the other main issue that has cropped up is being able to get comfortable in bed. I have been struggling increasingly and this has gotten to the point of me sometimes taking at least 45 minutes+ just to get comfortable, then drift off. When trying to relax, the inability to do so then increases stress and then makes me more awake; a vicious circle. That led to me staying awake longer, downstairs, working on various book elements, with the objective of making me more tired. However, that did not work every night and by the end of the week, the tiredness was catching up with me. Two nights with longer sleeps, at the weekend, helped to draw that back a little.

The walks continued and I managed 2 half-stage walks, one three-quarter distance walk and one more full walk to the top of the steep hill. The timing of that was identical to the first one last week, so a consistent time needed to conduct that walk, for the time being. When doing the three-quarter stage walk, the intention was to do a full walk. However, that was interrupted and I had to return home quickly. That involved me running down around half of the hill, which did not do my quad muscles any good and the increased pain has been there for the final 3 days of the week. All manageable and it will pass, but part of the learnings with this journey.

The focus on the Fritz Witt book orders continued, but a bit more manageable. The first people have started to receive theirs and fair to say that, to a person, each book delivered is leaving a notable good impression on everyone. The feedback so far is superb and I thank everyone of you for taking the time to share your first impressions (have not had contact from anyone who has had the time to read it all of the way through yet). One long-term supporter of my various books took the time to hand write me a lengthy sincere note, inside a very nice greeting card, which arrived in the post during the week. That note focused on the book achievement, but also my health situation. That note had a very humbling and pleasantly surprising effect upon me, and Sandra too. I will not name the individual, but you know who you are; the time you took to pen your note and the content of it, was very nice and we both thank you for it.

Around the order fulfilment, further work continue on V7 and also the foreign language aspects of my existing titles. Alongside that, I helped to deliver a key summary presentation, as part of my consultancy work, which was done onsite with them. Following that, key work was conducted on one of their projects, which is nearing fruition.

Sandra and I had a nice evening out, on Thursday, visiting a theatre near us to watch the Sydnie Christmas tour. A very powerful voice that some of you may have seen on BGT. Prior to the show, we booked a table at a new restaurant venue for us, just around the corner from the theatre, and they produced a very enjoyable meal for both of us. We also pre-booked a disabled spot right outside the door of the theatre, which made our departure much more easier.

Another jam packed week, which was good and nice to keep busy and have the current variety.

I trust that the weekly updates continue to provide an interesting read, one that depicts my journey through the AD world; your involvement in them is appreciated.

Regards

Peter
