Slightly late this week, due to some time critical tasks, see below.

Health updates continue to evolve around the two current, already mentioned, issues. One being the ‘tight’ head and the other being the tingling in my legs, which flared up at the end of the week. I am continuing with the exercise regime and also the walks, although the bad weather where we are, at the weekend, prevented me from covering off the planned end of week walk. Regarding the head, I will contact the cancer unit this coming week, as everyone should be back off Christmas holidays, etc. Overall, they are a bit inhibitive at times, but I am in a much better place at the start of 2025, than I was at the start of 2024.

The main focus, especially at the end of the week, was all book related, but of varying natures. I had 2 trade orders to sort, one for the USA and one for Canada, which required time and focus; those orders have resulted in V6 of the WSS Knights series going out of print. Alongside that was the initial contracting for some of my book titles to be published in another language, which is exciting and may lead onto more titles being published by the same company. At the end of the week, I received the final, pre-print, version of the Fritz Witt book, which then took up a lot of hours to check, identify small, but important (visual) enhancements and get this back to the printers; that task was 50% complete by Sunday night. Each of these tasks were time critical and they all arrived around the same time, making for a very busy start to 2025. To round off book related items, I have also begun the ground work on V7 of the WSS series, but they are in depth books, which require a huge amount of research time, so will be some way off yet.

Just prior to all of those tasks landing on my lap, Sandra and I managed a shopping trip to another uninspiring series of retail outlets, where ‘sales’ are not sales, as we would expect. Very little items acquired and a few hours wasted on looking at drab and repetitive items. Where has the ingenuity gone, where has creativity gone, are people not inspired anymore to make impactful items. Our uninspiring trip did give us a few hours out though, which was nice to break the festive season 'twilight zone’ of not knowing what day it is, what we’re supposed to be doing, how we are feeling and where we are.

The end of the week also saw me returning to the first of the consultancy work for the NY, which had been in shut down mode for the second half of December. Nice to fire that aspect of the brain back up again.
Overall, a busy start to the first few days of January 2025 and one with a number of good aspects to focus on and be excited about. With all of the issues endured during the final months of 2024, I am looking forward to what this new year may bring and the potential of it. Key trips and meet ups planned already, some to happen soon, some for the better weather in the spring and summer. My psychological state is in a positive mode and I am focused on pushing ahead this year, improving my fitness / capabilities and therefore, propensity to do more things.

How are you? Have you laid some achievable goals for yourself? Not the usual ‘resolutions’ malarky, but aspects of your life that you feel you can realistically improve upon. Aspects that will fill your heart and soul and help you to enjoy your life and make you happy; I hope that is the case and wish each of you a happier 2025. Now let’s get on with it, time is passing and there are things to do.

Thanks for all of your good wishes and comments from the ‘NY’ update last week, they were very welcomed.

Best regards
Peter
